5 Days Internal FDP Program
TGBS Research Cell organized 5 Days FDP Internal FDP Program from November 28, 2024 to December 3, 2024 to enhance knowledge and skills of the faculty members.
Day1: The session included the overview of Sustainable Finance, Highlighting The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by United Nations, Importance of ESG Criteria in Sustainable Finance, Different types of Sustainable products like green equities, green companies and green funds and many such products. The case study of YES bank implementing Sustainable Finance was also discussed. Further, the different types of analytics were discussed in detail with the help of examples.
Day 2: Installation of R software along with command to install bibliography was explained. Sample paper published in Scopus was shown. Detailed explanation of the tools under biblioshiny was conducted. The understanding of the same is helpful in producing quality research papers.
Day 3: On this day 5 activities were conducted. Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff participated with much vigor and enthusiasm. Lessons on Team Coordination, Bonding and Collaboration while maintaining focus and consistency were attained.
Day 4: The Key Features of Mendeley like Reference Management, PDF Reader and Annotation, Cloud Synchronization, Collaboration Tools, Citation Plugin and 6. Research Discovery uses were discussed and further the hands om practice session was held for the same. Further, through Mendeley, learners can enhance their productivity, streamline the research process, and improve the quality and accuracy of their research work.
Day 5: The Presentation based discussion on what are closed book and open book exams and also AICTE’s perspective on Open book Exams was discussed and also use of Blooms taxonomy and how are open book exams mapped to its higher levels only.
The 5 Day FDP program enhanced the knowledge and skills of all the participants on different areas of management.
Writing A category paper using bibliometric Analysis 13th May 2024 to 17th May 2024
TGBS, Research cell organized Faculty Development Program for the teaching staff on “Writing A category paper using Bibliometric Analysis” from 13th May 2024 to 17th May 2024. Five session from 4 speakers were facilitated for 5 days of FDP. Dr Smita Jape gave session on the basic of research. Dr Dinesh Sonkul gave session on research methodology. Dr Krunal Punjani gave session on writing in A and B category papers. Dr Krishnakanth Lasune gave session on Bibliometric Analysis on 2 parts. The session were highly interactive and faculty were motivated to produce papers in their respective field..

The FDP on Glossary was held on 5th April 2022 for all the TME’s which was presented by Prof. Ajit Maurya, Prof. Ritu Kashyap and Dr. Shiny Colaco in campus. The Topic for the FDP was “Recent Trends in Marketing, HR and Operations”. 8 TMEs attended the event offline. The session put forth on various terminologies on Marketing, HR and Operations. This helps the institute in meeting its objectives of providing necessary training to its faculties and other staff for overall Growth & Development.
Happiness at Work
HR Department at TGBS organized internal FDP on “Happiness at Work” dated 31st December, 2021 .The FDP was organized & conducted by internal trainer Dr. Divya Jain. The session started with a brief discussion on what is the real meaning of happiness. Dr.Jain, further highlighted various aspects of “being happy”. With several insights on how happiness brings out productivity, the session ended with a detailed discussion amongst faculty members. The TMEs extended a note of gratitude to the TGBS Ecosystem, HOI & all the participants for attending the session.

The Great Resignation
TGBS – HR department has organized Internal FDP on “The great resignation ” on 20th November 2021. The session focused upon highlighting the reason of employees leaving job in pandemic in the US. The speaker highlighted various aspects of employees not needing the job in pandemic. The session enabled faculty to gain an understanding about how to bridge gap in providing better well being to employees and not letting them over work or make them feel in valued.
Overall, the session was well appreciated by the Faculty & ended up with questions and answer session.
H2H Marketing
Marketing Dept , TGBS conducted its Internal FDP Presented by Prof. Reema Shah on 30th Sept 2021. The Topic for the FDP was –” H2H Marketing”. 4 Marketing Faculties attended the event online. The session enlightened Faculties on various methods of H2H Marketing.
FDP on Operations latest trends 2021
The Operations Department organized An internal departmental FDP on Operations latest trends 2021 (For the faculty of the Operations Department TGBS) online via Zoom on Friday 2nd July, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The presenter was Prof. Prateek Shrivastava – Assistant Professor – Thakur Global Business School as part of the Faculty development ecosystem of TGBS. As part of the FDP a basic understanding of the Operations trends and their implications were shared with the faculty member in attendance. To help the Operations faculty members in their endeavor to develop basic understanding of Operations trends.

Digital Gold Investments
TGBS conducted Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on 5th June 2021 on the zoom platform. The topic of the same was “Digital Gold Investments” and it was conducted for all the Teaching & non-teaching staff.The session was under FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) model of TFIP (TGBS Financial Independence Programme). The same was conducted by Dr. Anju Motwani. The session answered important questions i.e. importance of investment into gold contemporary ways of investing into gold, features of each contemporary gold investment avenue. The session was wel received by Audience. They raised meaningful questions and the same were addressed to the satisfaction of the audience.

How to write research paper
TGBS conducted Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from 4th May to 8th May 2021 on the zoom platform. The topic of the same was “How to write research paper” and it was conducted for all the Teaching staff. The session was organized by Research cell. The same was conducted by Prof. Ajay Saraf, Statistical consultant. The session was well structured and covered topics like how to frame a research title, how to conduct literature review importance of research methodology, how to frame a questionnaire, how to analyse data using SPSS , how to write data interpretation. The FDP’s evaluation was divided into 3 parts:
- Class participation
- Questionnaires via google form
- Simultaneous assignment of writing research paper along with FDP and the same was evaluated by resource person.
The session was well received by Audience. Participants raised meaningful questions and the same were addressed to the satisfaction by speaker.
Book Review on The Leader who Had no Title
The Marketing Department of Thakur Global Business School conducted an internal fdp on ‘Book Review on The Leader who Had no Title’ conducted by Prof Ria Patnaik on 16th April, 2021 on the zoom platform. The session was conducted with a purpose of disseminating the learnings from the book The Leader who Had no Title. The summary of the book was discussed to act as an inspiration is our everyday lives as educators.

Top Marketing Tools
Marketing department of TGBS conducted Internal FDP which was presented by Prof. Upendra More on 29th December 2020. The presentation topic was based on “Top Marketing Tools”. Total 3 Marketing Faculty members attended the online event. The session has given the input on various trending marketing tools used by the marketers. The faculty members enhance and upgrade the knowledge on the latest marketing tools. The respective tools are used for SEO, Promotion, understanding the behaviour of the Consumer and do the analysis based on the data.Internal FDP helps institute in meeting the objectives of providing the necessary training and upgradation of skills sets for holistic growth and development of faculty members.
Thakur Global Business School conducted the second internal fdp on ‘LinkedIn’ conducted by Prof Ria Patnaik on 30th Nov 2020.The session was conducted with the purpose of making fellow colleagues more digital savy and how they can leverage features on LinkedIN for their professional success.Understanding the various features of LinkedIn helped the participants to understand it usage for their teaching as well as networking needs.
