World Entrepreneurship Day
Description of the Post : TGBS under the banner of TEG- Thakur Education Group, co-partnered with TCET, TSAP, TIMSR & TIMSCDR celebrated World Entrepreneurship Day on 21st August 2024, Wednesday. Initiative was taken to invite and felicitate Alum entrepreneurs of all the Institutes. The Alums also shared their journey with the audience. The guest for the event Mr. Nilesh Lele, President at Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Businesses has discussed on the topic “Building Blocks of Entrepreneurial Venture”. The speaker spoke about taping and doing due diligence in viewing opportunities. The event ends with awarding the winners of “Business Venture Vault” organized by the group on 27th July 2024. Overall, the event was big success and has created learning opportunities for future entrepreneurs.Entrepreneurial Journey
TGBS has organized a Guest Session by Mr. Venkat S. Subbarayan, of Madrassi Kappi, for students of Batch 2024-26. Mr. Venkat shared his story of Madraasi Kappi, a dream venture. He shared with students how one day he thought of starting his dream venture, with minimum funding and resources. He shared that how Madraasi Kappi has grown in few years from just one outlet to three. He also shared the challenges he faced and how he has overcome those challenges. The session was quite engaging, where students were asked to participate and think out of box through various activities like developing a business idea with a name and logo, presenting their ideas to the audience, and the winning team were awarded with coupons worth Rs2500/ of Mr. Shiva’s outlet.Business Venture Vault National Level Business Plan Competition
TGBS under the banner of TEG- Thakur Education Group, co-partnered with TCET, TSAP, TIMSR & TIMSCDR organized a guest session on “Converting Ideas into Startups” by Dr. Sagar Pawar, Founder of Service Healspace Private Limited on 19th July 2024. Highlights of Activities Conducted: -Informative presentation by Dr. Sagar Pawar on converting ideas into startups. -Detailed discussion on securing grants and funding opportunities. -Step-by-step guidance on registering a company on Startup India. -Interactive QCA session with enthusiastic participation from attendee. The event was highly successful in providing valuable insights into the journey from ideas to startups. Dr. Sagar Pawar’s expertise and practical advice were greatly appreciated by all participants. The session fostered enthusiasm and readiness among attendees to embark on their entrepreneurial ventures.Business Venture Vault National Level Business Plan Competition
TGBS under the banner of TEG- Thakur Education Group, co-partnered with TCET, TSAP, TIMSR & TIMSCDR organised a National level Business Plan Competition- Business Venture Vault, for young entrepreneurs.
The competition was organised in 2 Levels.
Round1- Screening – 18th July 2024 – Online Mode
Round 2- Studio – 26th July2024- Offline Mode
For Round 1 we received registration from 43 teams across India and which have presented their Business Ideas on 18th July 2024. Evaluation and screening were done based on: Uniqueness Innovativeness and Feasibility, by Alumni in online mode.
The Alumni were

3. Poonam Natu – TIMSR
4. Mehboob Patel – TIMSCDR
5. Rishabh Jain – TSAP
Out of 43 teams, 16 Teams were shortlisted for Round 2 – Studio Round.
On 26th July Selected Teams for Round 2 presented their ideas before the Jury members within the campus of TEG. The evaluation was done on the basis of Problem statement • Solution to the problem • Market Analysis and Strategies • Cost and Benefit Analysis • Scalability and Growth Potential.
The Jury Members for the Round 2- Studio Round, were
1) Mr. Dishen Shah-Angel Investor
2) Mr.Siddharth Sirigeri. Angel Investor in 150 startups
3) Ms.Neeta Jajoo – Co-Founder at Expressions Desiger Interior Design Studio-Online Interior Products Store
4) Mr.Gaurang Kapoor – Angel Investor
Three winning teams of the Business Venture Vault were invited to the Campus on 21st August 2024 and given the prize money.
The winners were
1st – TSAP Team “Van Cart”- Rs.25,000
2nd- Vidyalankar Team “ Saaj Handicraft”- Rs.15,000
3rd- D.J. Sanghvi Team “Make Plast”- Rs.7500.
The event was successful and students ideas were well appreciated by the Jury Members.
