National Voter’s Day

TGBS Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell celebrated National Voter’s Day on 25th January 2024. Students took e-Voter’s Pledge to upload the democratic traditions of our country and the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, and to vote in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement.

Joy of Giving

TGBS Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell (SRSC) organized “Joy of Giving” event in collaboration with “Being Sevak Charitable Trust”. The main aim of the event is to support visually Impaired Individuals through donation of Essential Food – Grain kits. Students along with faculty members contributed in the event by donating food grains. Such events create value and attitude of giving back to the society and being more socially responsible

Indian Constitution Day

TGBS Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell celebrated Indian Constitution Day on 26th November 2023. Students took the pledge on https://mpa.gov.in/constitution-day. The activities highlighted the significance of the constitution of India. Knowledge engrained is fundamental rights & duties of Indian citizens. Skills acquired are planning, organizing, and public speaking. Attitude instilled is patriotism & respect towards Indian Constitution.

Vigilance Awareness Week-Slogan Making Competition

TGBS organized Slogan Making Competition on the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week, on the theme “Say No to Corruption, Commit to the Nation” on 5th November 2023 for PGDM Students. Students also took the national pledge. Students showed their creativity through their enthusiastic participation. Top two slogans of students were chosen and awarded. The purpose of such activities is to generate an awareness amongst the students about the ill effects of corruption and ethics in society.

Meri Maati Mera Desh- Amrut Kalash Yatra

TGBS organized “Amrit Kalash Yatra” as a part of Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign initiated by the Government of India. The students brought Mitti in small quantities to the institute. The Mitti was then collected in the Amrit Kalash followed by Panch Pran pledge taken at the time of collection of Mitti. The Yatra was then conducted with the Amrit Kalash within the campus. PGDM students of TGBS and all the faculty members participated with great enthusiasm.

oath ceremony on the occasion of “Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign”

TGBS organised the oath ceremony on the occasion of “Meri Mati Mera Desh Campaign” as a culminating event of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on 9th August 2023 for all teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and students of PGDM Sem I (Batch 2023-25) and Sem III (Batch 2022-2024). In the assembly, In the presence of Head of Institute, Dr. Nilesh Gokhale and Deputy Director Dr. Shuchi Gautam, the Oath was taken by everyone followed by National Anthem. The ceremony emphasised the value of participating in the expansion and development of the country in order to inculcate in the audience a sense of national pride, unity, and responsibility.

The event fostered a strong sense of solidarity and commitment towards creating a brighter future for the nation and inspiring students to actively contribute to the country’s success.

Beach Cleaning Drive

TGBS’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell (SRSC) organised Beach Cleaning Drive on 29th September 2023. The drive was conducted in collaboration with “Being Sevak Charitable Trust (NGO)” at Marve beach, Malad-West. The activity was conducted under the Government of India “Swachhata Hi Seva” Mission. Overall 25 Students of TGBS from Sem I and Sem III participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The volunteers team collected plastic waste from the beach. This activity added value to environment sustainability & helped in improving the quality of marine life.

International Peace Day

TGBS’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell organized awareness Quiz on the eve of International Peace Day on 21st September 2023 for PGDM Sem I & Sem III students. The activities included dissemination of information on the relevance of peace within the lives of human being. The activity will surge students’ Knowledge on significance of International Peace Day and attitude instilled was acceptance towards national days of significance & respect for history of India.

Poster Making Competition

TGBS’s Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell (SRSC) organized Poster Making Competition on the eve of independence day on 14th August 2023 on the theme of “Nation First Always First”. Students of PGDM Sem I and Sem III had participated along with teaching and non-teaching staff members. Participants had shown their creativity and enthusiasm by making creative posters.

Save the Flag

TGBS ‘s Social Responsibility and sustainability Cell(SRSC) on the eve of 76th Independence Day, in collaboration with Being Sevak (NGO) organized a cleanliness drive under “Save the Flag” campaign, on August 16, 2023. here a team of student volunteers had gathered abandoned flags that were damaged or untidy. The areas covered were Thakur Village, Borivali and Kandivali by the volunteers of TGBS. The activity aimed at ensuring environment sustainability & endeavours to maintain the respect & dignity of the national flag

International Yoga Day

TGBS Social Responsibility and Sustainability Cell organized a ‘Yoga Session’ to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023 for teaching, non-teaching and support staff members. The session started with sharing of some basic understanding on the significance of Yoga in our lives followed by guided stretching exercises and breathing techniques. All the staff members highly benefited from it and enthusiastically participated in it. The session ended with sharing of learning outcomes from the participants.

World Environment Day

SRSC at TGBS celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 for the students of PGDM Sem II and IV. As per government initiative students and staff members participated in the National Pledge called “The Puneet Sankalp” on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” and received certificates for the same. KSAs (Knowledge, Skills and Attitude) learnt were knowledge about ways to save environment & reduce plastic pollution, environment sensitivity.

Dr.Nilesh Gokhale is the Director(I/C) and a Professor of Marketing with a total experience of 22 years spread across Academics, industry and Research.

An Engineering graduate himself, Dr. Gokhale is an MBA and holds a Doctorate in Marketing from Pune University. Dr. Gokhale has authored 3 textbooks and published several research papers in national and international journals of repute indexed in SCOPUS and Web of Science. His areas of interest include Brand Management and Consumer Behaviour. Dr. Gokhale is a Ph.D guide and is also on the Board of studies of reputed institutions. He has conducted corporate training programs and has also worked as a Brand consultant.

Dr. Shuchi Gautam is working as Deputy Director and Professor of Finance at Thakur Global Business School. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in Commerce. She holds a doctorate degree in Financial Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her Ph.D. research concentrated on Mergers and acquisition deals of selected pharmaceutical companies. She has a total experience of 18 years in academia and industry

Her research passion is focused on topics that include Corporate Restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Planning, and Financial Markets. Her research expertise is reflected through a series of publications in financial, and business-related reputed journals.

She has contributed articles to premier business publications and has also presented her intellectual contributions at various national and international conferences.

She has received Distinguished Service awards from AIMS International for her significant contribution towards management education.

She has pursued several Management Development Programmes and training in areas of Finance for Non-Finance, Financial Planning, and Retirement Planning.

Prof. Kinjal Manani is a faculty in the area of Finance. She has done her MBA in Finance She has more than 8 years of experience in academics and industry. Her area of interest and expertise is Financial Markets, Security Analysis, Portfolio Management, Investment Decisions etc. She has taught courses in PGDM Finance such as Security Analysis and Portfolio Management along with Financial Markets and Investment Oriented Courses and She has published research papers in 5 journals of repute. Her industry experience is in the field of Corporate evaluation and rating as a Business Analyst.

Prof. Jaideep Dasgupta is a faculty in the area of Finance. He is an MBA(full-time) from NMIMS (Mumbai) and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from XLRI Jamshedpur. He has 5+ years of experience in the banking industry with reputed banks such as ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank in core finance profiles related to financial modeling, credit appraisal, new client acquisition and digital banking. He has 3.5+ years of experience in the field of academics. His area of interest is in Financial Technology (FinTech), Educational Technology (EdTech), Data Analytics, Financial Modelling, Wholesale and Retail Banking. He has taught courses for PGDM related to Project Finance, Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, Financial Technology, Python Programming, Financial Markets, Institutions and Services and Business, Financial and Economic Analysis.

Prof. Gayatri Ravi Magi is a faculty in the area of Finance. She is an MBA and specialized in Finance Domain. She has more than 4 years of experience in academics and industry. Prof. Anuja Roy is a faculty in the area of Marketing & is a Soft Skill Trainer. She has done her PGDM in marketing and is a certified NLP Trainer. She has more than 20 years of experience in academics and industry. Her area of interest is soft skills. She has taught courses in marketing and grooms' students towards Corporate Readiness. Her area of interest and expertise is Financial Planning, Wealth Management and Business Statistics. She has taught courses to both MMS and PGDM students of Finance and other domains. Dr. Divya Jain is a human resources faculty member & trainer for nation building from BOSCH India Foundation. She holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA (DAVV), a Dip. in T&D (ISTD), and more than 13 years of experience in both academia and business. She has successfully led a number of MDPs in her capacity as a soft skills trainer. She has also led internal sensitization trainings on the prevention of sexual harassment and is a certified POSH trainer. She has authored multiple research papers that have been published in reputable journals such as UGC-CARE and ABDC. She is currently working on "Learning & Development" as a book. She has worked in the HR operations and talent acquisition fields.

Her areas of expertise are Organizational Behaviour, Emotional Intelligence and Learning & Development. She has proficiently handled courses like HR Metrics & Analytics, Learning & Development, HRM, Competency & Performance Management, Organizational Behaviour & Business Communication.
