General rules:
- Students have to maintain silence in the library.
- Students coming for reference purpose have to make entry into visitor’s register.
- Wearing I – Card is compulsory.
- Consumption of food, except drinking water, is strictly prohibited.
- Use of Mobile Phone is strictly prohibited in the library.
- Students should not touch any electric equipment without permission of the librarian.
- Students must keep their belongings on the luggage racks after entering in the library. Library is not responsible in case of any damage or theft of the belongings, kept in the library.
- Students are not allowed to sit in the Library Reading/Ideation room while sessions/lectures are going on.
- Students are requested to use the library materials very carefully without causing any damage.
Issue-return related rules:
- Students should carry their Library Membership Card for using library resources.
- Students must deposit the book card at the circulation counter before taking the book.
- The holder of the membership card is responsible for the books borrowed against it.
- Students should check the books while taking/receiving them from the library.
- Students are not allowed to take issued book in the Library Stack Room.
- Home Lending: Students will get one book against one library membership card for the period of 14 days.
- Books can be re-issued by presenting them physically, only if there is no claim from other students.
- Fine for overdue: Rs.5 /- per day will be charged against late return of books.
- Writing or marking in library books is strictly prohibited.
- Students must not take Xerox from bound volumes.
- Question Papers, Newspapers, Project Reports, CDs, and Journal & Magazines on display are meant for reference purpose only.
Digital Library Rules:
- Students must make entry in the register before using the digital resources.
- Students are not allowed to take CDs outside the digital library.
- Students can only access electronic resources like ProQuest, EBSCO E-Books, KNIMBUS and Ace Equity, NPTEL, SWAYAM and such other educational Websites as mentioned on the institute’s website under LRC (Library), e-resources.
Note:Students must comply with the library rules failing which they may be excluded from the library use or incur a fine or strict action will be taken against them.
