Thakur Global Business School (TGBS) organized the Induction Program for the 2024-25 batch from July 8th to July 15th, 2024. The event kicked off with a session by Ms. Amreen Kaur Luthra on Personal Effectiveness, emphasizing creativity and innovation through thinking outside the box. The second session, led by Mr. CA Suresh Laxminarayanan, focused on the seven habits and Ancient Indian wisdom, engaging students in an interactive discussion about the seven habits. The day concluded with the introduction of the TGBS team, including faculty, non-teaching, and support staff. The second day featured an Experiential Learning activity facilitated by faculty members, using number games. Students were also introduced to the KRA cell with PowerPoint presentations by each cell committee members. On the third day, Mr. Kannan N and Dr. Shanker Viswanath delivered a session on management lessons through activities like Raftaar, Baba-Baby-Ball, Hula Hoop Pass, and Broken Squares, followed by a presentation from the Exam Department. The fourth day’s highlight was the Campus to Corporate session by Mr. Ashish Sardesai, preparing students for the realities of the corporate world. This was followed by indoor games, including carom and table tennis. The fifth day featured a session by Mr. Venkat Shiva, who shared his entrepreneurial journey, challenges, and how he overcame them. Students participated in an activity to develop a business idea with a name and logo, presenting their ideas to the audience, with the winning team receiving coupons for Mr. Shiva’s outlet. On the sixth day, a panel discussion with alumni provided an open forum for students to clarify doubts, followed by a placement session from the placement team. The seventh day included management games focused on team building, followed by Bizquest. The final day featured a trek to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, concluding the induction program. Overall, the program provided a comprehensive introduction to the students, blending personal development, experiential learning, corporate readiness, entrepreneurship, alumni interaction, and team-building activities.
