We are witnessing a very prominent shift in the world today with the Economic Leadership taking centre stage amidst all the other institutions of leadership be it Political, Military or Religious. When there is such a huge privilege and responsibility being entrusted upon an economic leader to lead and manage so many lives & resources the first thing one needs to do is invest and work upon one’s self. We are at an important turning point today which requires an expanded awareness and an elevated consciousness- a new way of thinking feeling and acting individually and together. There cannot be any better time than today to commit to investing in nurturing a new genre of leadership ie Conscious Leadership setting forth a wonderful opportunity and responsibility for the Business Education to play a pivotal role in the 21st century. Conscious leadership implies bringing one’s whole self with total awareness a leadership position. Consciousness is being mindful, aware and present in the moment. Being fully conscious of what’s going on – both within & without us giving us the opportunity to participate fully in life. Under the NOURISH BOARD we shall be singularly focused in nurturing conscious leaders mastering the science & art of unlocking their peak HUMAN potential hugely empowered to contribute & deliver wellbeing for themselves, organizations & planet at large. The first step is to start from oneself and then allow the cascading effect to spread wide and deep. The board shall comprise of experts in their respective domains resonating with the desired consciousness and as a willing partner inspired to collaborate in our vision to nurture conscious leaders for sustainable organizations. All the programs designed under the guidance of the Nourish Board will be on a fundamental premise and a shift from HAVING – DOING – BEING to BEING- DOING- HAVING
As part of the very first initiative of the Nourish Board we have incorporated a new subject of Self Management in the PGDM curriculum (2017-2019) for to kick-start the action. At TGBS we ask and shall continue asking ourselves every passing day the following questions. • Are WE going to continue giving legitimacy to those systems and institutions we complain about? • Or are WE going to begin contributing by investing in building these new breed of CONSCIOUS leaders URGENTLY required in the 21st century to save the Human Race as a species? • Are WE ready to embark on a practice of self-discovery, to examine our life and raise our own consciousness so that one is sensitive to the pulse of humanity and the power and purity of a responsible global citizenry?
