Student Council at Thakur Global Business School organized the 9 day Navratri Event from Oct 17th 2020 to Oct, 24th 2020 with grandeur on zoom platform. The online event was conducted with an aim to spread the joy and learning’s from the festival within students and faculties during the pandemic.
The day commenced with students conducting the DMS prayers together at 9:30 AM everyday followed by discussions on leadership lessons from Navratri. Each day the Student Council elaborated a new leadership lesson from the Navratri festival. The significance of colours associated with Navratri from management point of view was also well explored.
The following leadership lessons were discussed
Day 1: Introspection; Day 2: Determination; Day3: Vigilance; Day 4: Wealth Creation; Day 5: Compassion; Day 6: Fighting spirit; Day 7: Overcoming of obstacles; Day 8: Grooming & Charisma Day 9: Upgrading knowledge and achieve deep skills.
As a part of the nine day celebration, Students Council team along with the Digital Cell organized online Garba competition. Students uploaded a 15 seconds reel of them performing garba and uploaded the same on the Institute website.
On the final day of the event (Oct 24,2020) the organizers announced the winners of the competition, after taking into account the innumerable votes from students and student council mentors respectively.
Through this exercise, the student council wished to give a fresh perspective to our festivals and make it relevant for the youth of today. The participants’, both students and Professors enthusiastically participated in making the online event a grand success.
