Induction Program 2025 (Batch 2025-27)

Thakur Global Business School (TGBS) successfully conducted the Induction Program for the PGDM batch of 2025–27 from July 16 to July 26, 2025. The 10-day program was designed to provide students with a holistic introduction to the world of management education—infused with learning, leadership, creativity, and personal development. Carefully curated to balance academic orientation with industry insights, communication skills, mental wellness, and experiential learning, the program offered a dynamic Launchpad Series for the students’ journey at TGBS.

  • Day 1 The induction commenced with reporting and a warm welcome in the SSC, followed by the Welcome Address by Director Dr. Shuchi Gautam. The first day featured an engaging session by guest speaker Mr. Vivek Jain on "Career Adaptability and Self-Leadership," which highlighted the importance of being agile and resilient in one’s career path. This was followed by a session by Mr. Ashish Hathi on "Becoming Industry-Ready," providing insights into the mindset and skills needed to succeed in the corporate world. The day concluded with the reflective "Lead & Learn" segment, promoting interaction and self-awareness.
  • Day 2 opened with a powerful session by Dr. Satvinder Madhok and Ms. Leena Dadlani titled “The Real MBA: Management by Attitude.” The session emphasized cultivating the right mind-set, fostering drive, and nurturing an attitude of excellence. Post-lunch, students participated in a BADM (Business Analysis and Decision-Making) session, equipping them with logical frameworks to approach complex problems. The day wrapped up with the Team Tactics Challenge, a lively set of management games designed to build team spirit and strategic thinking.
  • On Day 3, students gained exposure to real-world insights through an enlightening session by Mr. V. Subramanian, who shared his professional journey and perspectives from the industry. Students also got to know about their Teaching and Non-Teaching support system. The second half of the day was focused on institutional processes, with sessions on academic policies, examination procedures, and student- related guidelines. The day concluded with a thoughtful session on professional etiquette conducted by Ms. Darshita Joshi, Founder of DarcHorse.
  • Day 4 Students then participated in the BizCraft Activity, where teams developed business ideas complete with names and logos and presented them with confidence. This was followed by an Alumni Panel Discussion, where experienced alumni shared their real-life stories, career paths, and advice for navigating challenges. The creative momentum continued with an informative session on the real estate sector by Ms. Baisakhi C, followed by a mental wellness session by Ms. Shuchi N. Kothari, underlining the importance of emotional balance in academic and professional life.
  • The theme of Day 5 was personal branding and career orientation. The day began with a session by Mr. Sandeep Pandit, Founder of Tell a Story, who spoke about crafting a unique personal brand and standing out in a competitive world. The day followed and was led by the TGBS Placement Team, who provided a comprehensive overview of the placement process, recruiter expectations, and preparatory resources. The second half saw an interesting session by Ang Tarang led by Ms.Shruti Suvarna and Ms.Shruti Ganesh who delved students into the world of dance and understanding themselves.
  • Day 6 began with Ms. Saloni Ramaiya, who covered the Basics of Finance, equipping students with foundational financial literacy and brought strategic financial thinking to the forefront. Ms. Amreen conducting a communication workshop focused on “Building Confidence Through Communication,” helping students unlock creativity in their expression and build impactful communication habits Through the Department Activity – “Strategizing,” students were grouped to work on themes such as profitability, scalability, growth, and global perspectives. The exercise was an excellent platform for applying analytical thinking in a simulated business context. The day concluded with “Fun with Mathematics” by Ms. Vrushali Joshi, turning numbers into an enjoyable learning experience. The excitement continued on
  • Day 7 began with BizQuest, TGBS’s signature business quiz. Students competed with enthusiasm on topics like management, economics, and current affairs. The day also included a session on Campus to Corporate for students’ industry readiness preparation. The final session of the day was led by.
  • Days 8 was dedicated to communication excellence and ethical code of conduct. Day 8 featured a session on Ethical Code of Conduct, emphasizing academic integrity and responsible behavior followed by an impactful session by Ms. Deepika Kotian on “Speak to Lead”
  • Day 9 celebrated entrepreneurial thinking and creativity. Mr. Dalbir Singh Kuntal shared his entrepreneurial journey, inspiring students to think boldly and innovate fearlessly. Students also attended a library orientation, gaining access to TGBS’s rich academic resources. Post-break, the day concluded with a valuable session by Mr. Milan Bavashi on “The ABCs of the Stock Market,” delivered in collaboration with Upstox. The session demystified financial markets for the budding managers.
  • The grand finale on Day 10 celebrated student creativity and initiative. The day began with an Introduction to Student Cells and Committees, where the senior batch (2024–26) oriented the new students about various committees, encouraging participation and leadership. The highlight of the day was “Lights, Camera, create!” – a film-making activity where students conceptualized, directed, and presented short films on diverse themes, showcasing creativity, storytelling, and teamwork.
