2025-06-05
The FINSEC Conclave 2025, hosted by the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and supported by global tech leaders like Palo Alto and Sentinel One, was a premier two-day event focused on the evolving landscape of cybersecurity in the financial sector. The conclave brought together industry experts, global leaders, and innovators to discuss the role of artificial intelligence, data governance, and emerging technologies in shaping the future of digital finance and security. Representing Thakur Global Business School, the PGDM Batch of 2024–2026 had the privilege of managing the event’s end-to-end operations. Responsibilities spanned across multiple domains, including guest registrations, logistics coordination, booth management, and speaker support. The team ensured smooth onboarding of attendees, managed session transitions, and facilitated real-time issue resolution. Special segments like the DSCI Innovation Box were also coordinated by the students, involving audience engagement, voting management, and live demonstrations. Booth management was another critical area, where the team assisted exhibitors with technical and promotional support. These interactions provided invaluable exposure to advanced cybersecurity tools, ranging from zero-trust frameworks to AI-driven threat detection systems. The hands-on involvement not only strengthened operational expertise but also offered direct insights into industry practices and emerging challenges. Beyond logistics, the event highlighted leadership and accountability. Each team member took ownership of responsibilities, from managing helpdesks to handling speaker prep areas and directing large crowds. Over 70+ sessions were seamlessly coordinated, featuring eminent speakers such as Mr. Vinayak Godse (CEO, DSCI), Ms. Debjani Ghosh (President, NASSCOM), and cybersecurity experts like Mr. Rahul Sasi and Mr. Mahendran Chandramohan. The experience was both enriching and empowering, fostering teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving under high-pressure conditions. It provided a real-world understanding of large-scale corporate event management while deepening knowledge of cybersecurity’s pivotal role in the financial sector.
